MISSION:

The generation of many families in India have been forced to work as a Manual Scavengers. We hold that one’s caste and occupation or position in society is mentally deep rooted in our country. Scavengers are manual labourers, who inherit their profession by birth. Doing the necessary work of cleaning dry latrines or sweeping street as well as private facilities, they are deprived of social recognition and improvement.
At Alight India Foundation, our aims is to work toward social movement for improving the condition of Scavengers community. We consider all human being as equally valuable - no matter caste, gender or religion they belong to.
The motto of our Foundation is to train and support Scavengers providing equality to enable them to run their own projects all over the country. Projects include education, consultation and public awareness of the situation of the community.
Our mission is to endow alternate means of livelihood for the Scavengers and their dependants to enable them live with dignity, honour and pride along with the main stream of the society.
We aim to concrete the skill development training and entrepreneurial skill of person belonging to the community of Scavengers.

VISION:

Alight India Foundation strives for elimination of inhuman practice of manual Scavenging and socio-economic upliftment of Scavenger and their dependants and to reduce the welfare gap between socially excluded group and the rest of the population by helping socially excluded communities to claim their right and entitlements more effectively.

MISSION:

Livelihood is defined as the means of securing basic necessities of life such as food, shelter & clothes.
The aim of Alight India Foundation is to empower the under-privileged communities to improve their present living condition.
Our focus is to assist financial support to women and youth by organising ‘Self Help Group (SHG)’to ensure them to have secured lives.
In addition, we aim to run ‘Micro Finance Programme’ to empower women as they are the most vulnerable and investing in women help empowering them and contribute to greater economic growth & development.

MISSION:

Through this flagship initiative, we at Alight India Foundation have extended our approach towards food distribution, wherein healthy and nutrition food is provided to poor and hungry people in slum areas, hospitals, railway station, orphanage, street, school etc.
Ateam of dedicated volunteers are engaged in identifying other needs of those poor people like health and education and organising cloth distribution programme. The team actively caters to provide fresh, healthy and nutritious food to the hungry people to help them lead a happy life.
In the event of an occurrence of natural disaster, lives get disrupted and many people are forced to leave their homes often living without food, shelter and water. At such time, we run programmes to provide food, shelter, water and basic amenities to help those in need.
We pay attention to the fact that food wastage is not only an injustice for the poor but also an insult to the farmers who grow it. We have taken initiative under our free food distribution programme about reducing food wastage. We are also planning to start an awareness drive to educate the people to reduce food wastage at their home.

VISION:

Our vision is to work towards creating a nation which has got a large population of people having no access to a daily meal and also to support those children who are deprived of education due to hunger. It is also our endeavour to reduce incidences of mortality, mobility, malnutrition and school drop-outs.

Agriculture plays a crucial role in the context of growing population and India largely depends on the agriculture sector. It is the one of the major sector of India Economy.
At Alight India Foundation, our mission is to work as umbrella among the entrepreneurs, experts and agri-business enterprise focused institution and thus creating a viable platform to shift agriculture to agri-business and to promote innovation in sustainable agriculture and rural enterprise.
Our motto is also to plant large number of trees providing livelihoods for the poorest of the poor. This also serve as a means of adaptation to the most vulnerable preservation of water-shed, thereby protecting soil and also bio-diversity which in turn can provide impetus to sustainable farming.
To co-ordinate effort being made by various line department farmer organisation and allied institution to strengthen research extension, farmer linkage in the district and to promote collaboration and co-ordination between various states funded technical department.
Receive and expand project fund, maintain revolving account, enter into contract and agreements, receive donation and provide service and deliver goods to beneficiaries and generate resources in order to bring financial sustainability.

VISION:

The aim of Alight India Foundation is to play a decisive role in technology transfer, setting up agri-business enterprise, forwards and backwards linkage, knowledge exchange etc. We also visualise improving livelihood of rural communities through sustainable agricultural practices and entrepreneurship to set up priorities for sustainable agriculture development with a farming system approach. We assure to facilitate farmer’s organisation to take a lead role on mobilizing support and service and to facilitate market interventions for value addition to farm produce.
